Speeches by President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris shared their optimism for the future as they detailed the plans that their team has in place in order to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and unify the nation.

In the first-installment of his annual convocation speech, President John J. Hurley addressed the state of the college. He discussed topics such as the financial health and the declining enrollment that the college is currently facing.
New director of the All-College Honors Program, Janet McNally, hopes to get more professors across the college to teach Honors class, so they can bring their passion to a group of students with diverse majors.
Biology major and junior at Canisius, Jasmine Thomas, is currently the diversity chair for the Undergraduate Student Association. She said she hopes to spread awareness, and celebrate the diversity on campus, while also addressing racial issues and other injustices.
