At this week’s senate meeting the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), The Griffin and Little Theatre each appealed for more funds that were all approved.

SAAC appealed for $1,632.560 for 250 T-shirts which will be part of a giveaway during Mental Health Awareness Week. 

The Griffin appealed for $3,040 for their first five editions of the spring semester. 

Little Theatre appealed for $7,565 for their first plays of the semester, Shakespeare in the Quad and club room renovations. 

Sen. Daham motioned to approve these appeals, each of which passed by majority votes.

The Residence Student Association (RHA) proposed their new constitution. Senator Meighan Murphy motioned to pass with edits that would include Jesuit values. A majority voted to pass RHA’s constitution with edits.

A group of Canisius students are in the process of establishing a chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists of America. The current e-board members proposed their constitution. Sen. Zoe Kaminski motioned to table this new constitution for next week’s meeting once more information is provided about payments for dues.
