Check out the events clubs on campus are still hosting even with the challenges of COVID-19

Campus or Buffalo Harbor cleanup: On Saturday Oct. 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. USA Sustainability and Project conservation will be teaming up to host a clean up. If you chose to do the one around campus students are expected to meet outside of the chapel. If you chose to clean up the Buffalo Harbor they are asking you to meet at the lakeside bike park. 

Quadrangle virtual workshop: On Thursday Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. Quadrangle editors will be hosting a virtual workshop for any writers interested in learning about ways their work can be strengthened. Check out the Quadrangle 69 article in the paper this week for more information. 

TikTok Challenge: For this challenge pre-health students can show a day in their life to win a cash prize. The top three TikToks will win a prize. TikToks are due on Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. by using the QR code in the flyer sent through email by CanisiusLife. 

ALANA Center Virtual workshop: On Oct. 26th and Nov. 4th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. the ALANA Center is hosting a workshop to discuss what it means to have privilege. These discussions are meant to educate students on the important topics related to diversity. If you have any questions or concerns email asc@canisius.edu 

Ignatian Teachings virtual yoga: On Oct. 20 and 27, and Nov. 10 and 17 Ignatian yoga teacher Pat Cassidy will be hosting a virtual yoga session. In these sessions you will be taking the time to reflect on different things while also doing basic skill level yoga. This is open to people with all different types of yoga skills and you can attend as many as you want. To sign up, look for the flyer and use the QR code to do so. Virtual Open Mic Night: Women and Gender studies is putting on an open mic night on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. through Google Meet.  Their plan is to first start a discussion about women in comedy. From there they will be giving the stage to people in attendance to share anything from songs, poetry, skits and more. Look for the flyer CanisiusLife sent out for the Google Meet code. Candy and Coaches: The Griff Center for Student Success will be hosting an event open to all students on Friday Oct. 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. They will be having raffles, prizes and treats for all who stop by. 

Halloweentown Movie night: On Oct. 30 SPB, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Afro American Society and Canisius Entrepreneurs Association is hosting a movie night in the quad from 5:00-8:00 p.m.. In lieu of Halloween they will be showing the classic Halloweentown. Along with the movie there will be a bunch of other fun things to do, including a Halloween egg hunt, carnival games, a cider and donuts giveaway and a virtual costume contest. Gaming After Dark: On Oct. 31 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Fusion Gaming Society will be hosting their gaming after dark event. Here you can enter in different raffles, play games and enter in a costume contest judged by different clubs on campus. The winner will win a new Nintendo Switch.
