Artist Caitlin Krumm uses artwork to make a difference.

Finishing Touches is a boutique, located on the corner of Lasalle & Delaware Avenues in Kenmore, owned by local artist Caitlin Krumm.  Krumm, an RIT graduate, has been painting for over a decade, and after she married she opened her first shop in the Ellicott Square Building.

After spending some time in the Ellicott Square Building, she decided to bring her shop to the neighborhood she resides in and loves, Kenmore.  Now, in her own building on Delaware Avenue, her “dream” is becoming a reality and bringing business to her community.

She has become popular for her “trendy buffalo” paintings, which feature a buffalo head wearing sunglasses, in various themes.  Krumm stated that the trendy buffalos are her “signature” pieces. In 2014, she created the original four buffalos and sold them at an art show, where she first learned of the customer’s adoration for the artwork. In 2018, she introduced her four newest variations: firefighter, police, pride and fall themed.

The business generated at the shop helps her to be involved in giving back to many WNY causes, especially Oishei Children’s Hospital.  Krumm is the Level 10 Signature Artist at Oishei, meaning her art is featured at the elevator landing and throughout the floor.

As a teen, Krumm’s brother had an experience with being hospitalized, and from that, she has wanted to help the Children’s Hospital. In addition to being a Signature Artist, she hosts painting classes for the children admitted to the hospital as a part of the Healing Arts Program.

Her most recent work with WNY charities is a current collaboration with The Board Shops’s annual snowboard competition. She donated a ski-themed trendy buffalo to be raffled off. The proceeds from the raffle and from the sales of the ski-themed trendy buffalo at her shop will be donated to WNY Heroes’ “Pawsitive for Heroes” program. This program works to get service dogs for veterans in the Western New York area.

You can find Krumm on Instagram, @caitlinkrumm, and at her website,, where you can purchase her pieces. Finishing Touches is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. at 2824 Delaware Avenue in Kenmore.
